can this beggar be a chooser???

work, in their infinite wisdom, have decided to change my shift...

I will now be working Sat-Tues as of mid-Nov...
remaining 4 10-hour days per week and working over weekends...

not sure if this is a blessing or a curse...
half of me says this will hopefully give me a bit more "social" time...
the other half says it's still not the kind of hours I actually want to be doing...

will see how it pans out when I get back...

3 SLEEPS TO GO!!

<=...such will be the state of my head this Sunday 6pm, once I've sat through the entirety of the V 24Hour Movie Marathon... will post details of my adventures in the *ahem* screen trade once my mind regains lucidity (and if I'm near an Internet cafe with a little time on my hands)

Have also just found out I'm on the judge team for GP Melbourne... Joy!!!

I'm all packed for my holiday and ready to go. Just need to survive 2 more days of work...

Omorimil's Birthday!!!

After nearly a full year of playing World of Warcraft, my main character - a dwarven priest by the name of Omorimil - has finally hit level 60 (the highest level a character can attain in the game at this point)!!!

Here he is pictured the moment that milestone was achieved. There's still so much more to do in the game and it never seems to get boring (and I tire of computer games quite easily!!)... more of his adventures to follow... Posted by Picasa

Madcap thoughts...

Well, the dust has well and truly settled, the bits of paper have been handed out to signify who won and at the end of the day are we any wiser or happier?

Results are HERE
Erin summed it all up brilliantly HERE

Yeah, I'm a little peeved that I didn't get nominated for Best Supporting Actor, but the fact that we won Best Special Effect for my spontanious combustion must be some kind of testament to my performance, surely??? But really, at the end of the day the bridge was built long ago...

Reese's Pieces Peanut Butter Cups... my taste-buds are lovin me!!!

Numero Uno

First post. A little unsure of what to say without sounding trite. (and saying that may sound so... err... postmodern...)

I'm in the middle of the season of a show at the moment.
'ALLO 'ALLO
By Jeremy Lloyd and David Croft
(Based on the TV series of the same name)
At Elmwood Auditorium
Aikmans Rd
Merivale
Runs until Sat 8th October
(that's this Saturday, so hurry!!!)
Tickets $15
I'm playing the German Army General who yells a lot in a stupid accent... go figure... if you are in town come see it... I'll say zis only once...
I bought my first piece of art today... a work from a stencil exhibition run by a friend of mine... the piece is called THE SMOKING GUN by Per. I think it's very cool and hope to acquire more once I move to a larger place.
(please excuse the rather sad photo... taken on my mobile... but you get the idea...)
I'm also getting very excited about the upcoming vacation that I am taking soon.
Firstly, I'm heading to Auckland on the weekend of the 29th/30th of this month for the V 24 Hour Movie Marathon, a weekend full of cinema - premieres of new blockbusters balanced with a whole bunch of crazy explotation oddities from the 50s, 60s, 70s & 80s - which looks set to be a total blast. Two of the titles have already been confirmed - the Hollywood cult hit KISS KISS BANG BANG and a brand spanking new Aussie thriller that looks mighty creepy, WOLF CREEK.
I'm going to spend a few days in Auck following that (note to any friends up there, get in touch for a coffee, if I haven't already!!), and then I leave for Melbourne the following Thursday.
Five nights in Melbourne relaxing and enjoying the sights, the weekend of which I will be in attendance at GP Melbourne (a Magic The Gathering card-gaming event, for those of you not in the know...)
Then I return to work (and normalcy) on the 10th of November...
I'll try and post as many of my adventures here while I'm away.
I also hope to do an extensive review of the marathon (and all of the films therein) shortly thereafter.
Must go now before I link myself into oblivion...
